This former B-Listed Church on Woodstock Street, Kilmarnock benefited from over £4.3 million of complex renovation, conservation and construction work. Reid Wire was just one of many sub-contractors involved with converting historic property into a 1st rate climbing centre, helping make a positive impact on the local community.
Above Adventure is a non-profit organisation run by a dedicated team of volunteers, part and full time staff and a board of trustee whose mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of communities through sport and outreach making climbing accessible for all ages and abilities.
The steel structures were formed in our workshop and constructed internally from which the climbing walls and frames were securely mounted and the meticulous restoration of the wrought iron spire on the roof together with the railings on the entrance areas and stairwells and the wheelchair access ramps to the rear.
